04.21 Nisqually Wildlife Refuge
April took us to our first hike of the season. Nine of us went to Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually Wildlife Refuge. It’s a mostly boardwalk trail out into the tidal flats of the south Puget Sound. We were amazed at the number and variety of animals we saw: eagles, seals, snakes, and much more. After the walk we made several U-turns until we finally found a good place for lunch, proving that persistence pays off.
