01.09 2nd Skagit River Eagle Tour

The 1st event of our 5th year took place on a rare sunny day in January. 14 people bundled up and took to the water to see Bald Eagles. We gathered in Rockport Washington, welcoming 2 new members at their 1st event.  On the river for about 2.5 hours, we saw 25 +/- of the majestic birds. Soaring high on the winds, sitting in trees and flying right over our heads down the river. The sun set behind the mountains just before we reach the returning point, sending chills into the bones of most of us. Once again, we had. a great day with our PD family, proving that PD will not stop us from leading full active lives.
