This year marked our seventh fundraising event for the APDA NW chapter, and it was another wonderful day spent with our extended PD family. The atmosphere was lively and full of energy, with over 300 people mingling, chatting, and supporting one another.
There was a friendly competition between our team and Team Neurofit as we vied for the top fundraising spot in the weeks leading up to the event. Team Neurofit got off to a strong start, much like a rabbit out of the gate, while we took the slow and steady approach of the tortoise. Eventually, we took the lead by over $7,000. However, just the night before the event, Team Neurofit surged ahead with an impressive $11,000 donation, claiming first place and recognition for the day.
The final totals are still pending as we await company matches and other donations to come in over the next week or two, so we’ll see if the fable holds true. Regardless, it was all for a fantastic cause! I’m thrilled to share that we exceeded our goal of $190,000 by over $5,000! Team SEAYOPD raised just over $30,100. The APDA NW chapter does incredible work for people with Parkinson's and their families through programs, research, and education. I hope we can all come together again next year to do this once more!
